Big Night Out...Vegas Style!

Brian and I went to his company's annual black-tie event. The theme this year was "Vegas Nights", with show girls wearing feathers, live music, and lots of gambling tables (with phony money, of course!). It was held in a beautiful ballroom in one of the nice Buckhead hotels. Sorta fancy and formal, but always fun to get all dressed up and share the night together.

Broadway...Here We Come!

Madison and Brian were in their annual school musical this week. It was called "Sermon on the Mound" about a rookie baseball player that learned what his true uniform was (armor of God) and who the true head coach is (God). Very cute, very fun! Madison sang a beautiful solo. She really is developing a gift. We are considering getting her into some type of drama class this summer. She really is in her natural element...on stage. Brian had a one-liner, and delivered it with confidence and ease. He especially enjoyed performing this one song where they were able to play the drums on their legs...he really got into it! These are the kind of things that really fill our hearts with joy to see the little people our children are growing to be.

Brandon Gets Glasses!

Brandon became even more "good lookin" today as he got his new glasses. This was due to a condition Brandon has in his left eye. It is called amblyopia and it occurs when the muscles in the eye do not develop and function properly. Please join us in prayer that the Lord would heal Brandon and his glasses would cause the muscle to be stimulated and begin functioning. If Brandon was able to learn how to read, shoot a "nothin' but net" basket, and hit a baseball like Andruw Jones with a bum eye...imagine what he will do when he can see!!

Turner Field - first time for the boys

We received a wonderful treat from the company I work for as we were given 4 tickets to a Sunday afternoon game at turner field - Braves vs Marlins. Our seats were 6 rows up from the field right on the visitor dugout. Believe it or not the weather was extremely cold for a baseball game in Atlanta. In fact I believe it was a record low temporature for this time of year as the high was about 50 degrees but with the wind it felt closer to 40. We wore layers and took blankets! Blankets at a Braves game!?!

We had a great time anyway and made a great memory with the boys. We were on TV multiple times (especially ATL's newest star - Terresa) as the girls and uncle Chris called us at the game to tell us they were seeing us on TV many times during the game. We all had our faces on the big screen at the game and Brian was featured as one the chosen crowd members for the "smile cam".

All in all a great day (yet cold) at the ball park.
